New cooker

Hi, I'm looking to replace my gas cooker but don't want to spend a lot of money at present as I'm planning a kitchen rehash sometime in next 12 months, but existing cooker is on the blink now, so need a short term replacement. Does anyone know of any stores, either real or on line, that sell cookers (say end of line or something) at knock down prices? Obviously I want something safe! Any leads welcome. I'm specifically interested in Cannon brand but might consider others. Thanks

Also, if you have an area where rooms/flats are let to students, they often have shops that sell good second hand or clearance/shop soiled goods at knock down prices.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac
