Ebay members with private feedback banned from selling

Wow - Ebay have done something positive! Interesting developement, I'm sure experienced Ebay buyers would be wary of sellers with private feedback, but I bet more than a few newbies have been gulled.

Came into effect on 31st October

Apologies if this has been posted before - I couldn't see that it had.

Sorry, I missed your post - I went AWOL for a short while. :o

I, too, wholeheartedly endorse their decision! :T

  • It was always crazy that sellers could hide their feedback.

I also think they should do away with private auctions. Ive seen numerous scams where the bidders ID's have been hidden so no one can contact them to warn them off.

    Its another licence for fraud.

I'm pleased about this news but I actually don't think anyone should have private feedback.

As for private auctions I understand the need for them, but I've seen some pretty distasteful stuff being sold with the buyers ID hidden, like what looked like a collection of photographs of very young looking girls.

The fact that they hide people who are interested in that bother me.

Completely agree with Mirakl I don't like private feedback, I know there are a variety of excuses for using it -but I don't like buying from or selling to private feedback ebayers.
