converting an flv file

does anyone know of any freeware for converting an flv file to avi or similar for putting videos onto disk:beer:

which is freeware and it’s based on the FFMPEG encoder (normally it is used to create .flv files from .avi or .mpg, but it can do the reverse too).

downloaded the software but how do you get it to change a file from flv to avi

I'm afraid I can't answer that one as I haven't used the software.

I'd recommend Super -> http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html - it converts pretty much anything to anything and is free :beer:
