would you leave negative or neutral feedback or just hit the stars

If you asked a seller would they sell their item cheaper than their buy it now price and they excepted it and then you had to contact them again after you paid and they always replied what feedback would you leave for the item being badly packed as i just bought a item and it wasn't packed where i thought it should have been and when parcel force delivered the item they rested it on that part so it makes me think what it was like in the van. Now another buyer has bought from the seller and they left a neutral as the item was damaged due to poor packaging, so the seller replied if you don't want things to get damaged in the post go and buy new. So i guess if i left bad feedback he would have something to say about me moaning when he gave me a discount.

Complicated post, but if your item was damaged, you should contact the seller re. replacement or return and refund.

If ok, leave a neutral, if you consider it justified.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.
  • Was your item damaged? if not then a polite note direct to the seller to inform of poor quality packaging and a big old positive for them reducing their price and great comms and maybe mark them down a little on packaging (star)

A very complicated post, but if your item was damaged when delivered then ask to return it for a refund and the seller can seek recompense from royal mail for a damaged item
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A

If it arrived safely then I would leave a positive, regardless of the packing.

If it arrived damaged I would request a refund/replacement and I would base any feedback on my own experience of how the seller resolved things and not on the feedback left by previous buyers,

Can't see a problem, if your item arrived safely. If it was something fragile that had been broken, due to careless packaging/handling, would have been a different story.

If the goods arrived undamaged I would leave positive feedback but mention the packaging briefly and gently in the comments.

The part don't look damaged but as the item was a steering rack for a car i think the main arms should have been protected and i think the seller should have known this as they sell car parts.

I sell car parts on ebay and you would not believe how hard it is to wrap/package car parts for couriers. They are always awkward sizes/shapes/dimensions. I often list some of my parts as collection only due to this but then get emails asking will I please post as they are having trouble getting the part. Most buyers just expect the part to turn up in a useable and undamaged stae. Granted the fragile parts should be covered and well wrapped but if it turned up and you can use it I think it's harsh to leave poor starts. Also as you had already asked for a reduction in price would you have been happy to pay more for extra packaging to cover the area of the part which isn't damaged?

Punctuation??? (or apologies if English is not your first language!).

If your item wasn't damaged, then no harm done. Just mark them down on the packaging star.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
