Options
i have had an email today supposidly from the hmrc along with an attachment, telling me i am due a tax refund of £244, i take it this is a con and i should not open the attatchment, the email is not addressed to me personally, it just says dear applicant, how would hmrc know my email address as i have not given it to them, or applied for a tax rebate or anything, but then again i dont want to throw away free money:D
Take every day as it comes!!

    What do you think? :)

FYI if you WERE due a refund they would send you a LETTER... not an email... I know because I DID get a refund ;)

You'll certainly be throwing away money if you complete the request for your Bank details in the attachment. Yours.

Any refund due is signalled via a P800. HMRC do not Email ............. particularly where they have no Email address!

Your scammers are miserable. My offers are always for circa £930. A dozen of them one day .... which kind of gives the game away.

    Indeed.

The bit where they ask for your credit card details for the repayment to be made is a clue......
