Soo I need to look into this as £6 for two deodrants is madness IMO. [...]
I also have a bit of a dilemma I have a gift card for Tesco with £60 on it, it was a pressie off my MIL for Christmas and I don't know whether to use it for groceries or find something else that I need?

I have the same problem with OH, nothing but Lynx body spray (not the antiperspirant, though). They were 2 x £5 in Boots this week. My problem is that none of us like antiperspirants or deodorants with aluminium on them. I can buy the Impulse one for me, the only one I found without having Aluminium, but I cannot find anything for him to try, so I am stuck with that one.

On the card, I would look for things for the house that can help you budget/save. Can you use it in TescoDirect too? Maybe in cookware to cook from scratch, or some nice chests/storage to stock up more items, or nice toiletries for the year so you can remove that from your grocery shopping and enjoy pampering yourself. When I had some vouchers or gift cards I kind of feel that if I spend it in a weekly shop I am wasting the gift, since it gets eaten and that's it. I prefer to buy things I use for longer (like a nice showergel or bath bomb, etc) or non perishables, like cookware, tableware and so on. Things I look at over a longer period.

Hi everyone - hope you are all having a good weekend. I've updated my sig with this weekend's spends, looks bad as I've almost spent half this Month's Budget but most of it is my Donald R. delivery which is not coming until 25th.

Not planning to spend anything for the next few days as we have enough Fruit & veg for a week, I've made some more bread and rolls, the only thing I will need later in the week is some more milk.

Dinner tonight is Roast Pork and all the trimmings, the Pork is from the Freezer, bought it in MrM's couple of weeks ago when it was half price, most meals will be out of the Freezer to make room for delivery - think it will be interesting to see what I have lurking in there that's been forgotten about - I know there is still some sliced Turkey and Gammon in there from Xmas!:o

    Have a good day everyone.;)

Buy groceries with it, take £60 out of grocery money and put it in your treat/emergency jar. I am a lover of jars with bits of money squirreled away!

I have updated signature. We are away for a few days and all food will be out of the holiday budget, although I will take food from here to cover some meals. Good luck everyone!

Went shopping yesterday and spent £20 in Aldi and £26.19 in Asda which mainly consisted of a couple of cans of Lynx deodrant for OH its soo expensive, I have tried to give him Asdas own, but he says its rubbish:mad: Soo I need to look into this as £6 for two deodrants is madness IMO.

Lynx is only called Lynx in the UK: in other European countries it is called Axe. You often see this in pound shops and probably think it is a cheap copy - it isn't, it's exactly the same product. HTH

TRUE! I was just about to say this - I had to convert my dh to this as he was a Lynx addict, too...now he always stocks up on Axe at Poundland, B&M or Home Bargains;)
