Hi all, I hope Im in the right place. I have been my friend who is a computer genius that Anapod is the best thing to get my tunes on my Ipod onto my new Itunes. Trouble is Ive downloaded the free trial and it doesnt work. Is there a way I can get Anapod full version for free?
My Ipod has loads of songs and the original Itunes is in my ex's computer and I dont want to lose them! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Anapod is good software, I've got a copy myself, but it's not free so you'll have to pay if you want a copy. But for this task you don't need it anyway.
If you go in to the iPod with Windows Explorer, you can just copy the files back to your computer easily. But they will all have been renamed to unrecognisable names. So you'll need to rename them back to sensible names. The easiest solution is using tag editor software to change the filenames using the ID3 tags built into the files. This should do the trick:

From there, you should be able to import the files back into iTunes. Actually I suspect iTunes doesn't care about the file names, so if that is what you use, you possibly don't even need to rename the files.0 -
Thanks..unfortunately my Ipod has a problem where the songs keep skipping and not playing so I have to reset it! I want to transfer all my songs onto a file before I do that.0

Open itunes up and preferences, then connect ipod.
This prevents ipod syncing and if you go into my computer you should see your ipod there. Go to Tools - Folder Options - Enable hidden files to be shown (or something similar to the effect) - Apply. This will now show the folders on your ipod. Copy all the ones with music onto your computer.0 -
MediaMonkey will do it.

When I got my new laptop, I tried this. But even after enabling hidden files to be shown, I still could not see my music.0 -

Anapod used to be good years ago, but do not buy it now. They are basically a defunct company who will take your money but then are uncontactable. See user reviews here - http://download.cnet.com/Anapod-Explorer/3000-2141_4-10614127.html#rateit
I've had good experience with Sharepod0
