xbox and mac?

Hoping someone can advise me? I am thinking about getting an xbox with kinect, can you play this on a mac? I know you can play ps3 on the mac (the man at the apple store told me,I'm not that computer savvy!) with a special (expensive) cable. Does anyone know if its possible to connect xbox to mac? and do I need this or a similar cable or different software?

Edit: you do exactly the same with the XBox to connect it to your Mac.

no not possible.

you can only use a 27 inch mac as a glorified TV for the xbox/ps3.

what the sales person probably ment was that you can buy some games that are on the ps3 for the mac (likely through steam), and just hoped that you not having a water tight knowladge of the subjet that they could make an easy sale.

basically to use and play connect you need an xbox, the kinect camera and a tv (and a large space) (of which the new 27inch mac can be used as a glorified monitor but as Scrilla says the box to enable this is pretty expensive and prob just worth it to buy a cheap tv/monitor)
