Cashing Giro Cheques At Post Office

Finally hubbys pension credit is sorted and they have sent a giro for £401 does anyone know if there is a limit to the amount of money you can cash a giro for at the Post Office please?

You will be fine with that amount - I know they had difficulty getting £2,500 together for my sister and ended up giving her £2k in cash and a bankers draft for the rest.0

For future reference the maximum a post office will do on a giro is £4490

You don't need photo ID to cash a giro, but it helps.I no longer contribute to the Benefits & Tax Credits forum.0
