Here's a post listing and reviewing types of covers. We have a nice black leather one that folds open from the top, you could set it on a desk or table and it would stand up. Haven't done that, lol, but I can imagine if you were following a recipe or something that would be handy. We do love the feel of the soft leather, it looks nice and offers good protection.0 -
Yes I thought about that, problem is I wasn't sure if that was a limited offer price and wanted to get it before the price went up. But if I bought it and gifted it then she'd have gotten an email and she'd then know that I'd gotten her a Kindle (The CC statement came in a couple of days previously so she already knew I'd spent £152 at Amazon).DailyDealFinder wrote: »Actually the best way is for your to "gift" a book to the person. They will get an email, and then they will be able to get it delivered directly to their kindle device. You do need to make sure that it is registered in her name and her account.
Turned out OK though, as she now has her Kindle and she's very happy with it. She's also downloaded the Jane Austen collection herself as I told her about it this morning.
The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

Wonderful!
Yes, that is the thing with Kindle Book deals ... their price often goes up dramatically after a few short days!
I'm glad you got the £152 3G version of the Kindle ... you get free 3G service with it around the world! Okay, so you probably won't be able to see Youtube videos on it, but I was able to check my Gmail accounts and look up information about local sites in Italy for absolutely nothing.0 -

I've got a non amazon cover for my kindle and bought a reading light from M & S for £3.50. I had to ask in the store where they were and they were kept on the counter near the tills. I can clip it to my cover and use it. A friend of mine has bought the Amazon cover and that comes with a light attached. Hope this helps you.0
