Hpi check

free ones will be if a dealer has doneone already on a car, MOST do HPI's on cars when they come in, all you have to do is ask if your interested on a vehicle.
there are NO FREE USE ones on the the net. rac, aa, HPI all do them around £20-£300 -
I completed an HPI a couple of days ago for a 2nd hand Fiesta I was looking at. Used https://www.hpicheck.com who charge £20.50 for a single check. Seemed pretty comprehensive but remember to obtain both the plate number and VIN from the dealer first (should be on the car's V5 certificate) or you'll only get a partial check.
As mentioned above, most dealers will carry out their own check when they receive a vehicle from the public so probably worth asking to see theirs first. If for any reason they refuse or avoid showing it to you, ask "why?" - could be a sign that something was flagged that they don't want you to know.0 -
Dont do the cheap ones you may as well flip a coin over a drain if you lose the coin down that
drain take it as a bad omen and do not buy. If you catch it go and buy it.
Think thats not useful advice, Wait until you have bought a cheapo check and find it was wrong.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Although no substitute for a proper hpi check, there is a free basic check that can be done using 'mycarcheck', this will tell you basic info like how many owners, bhp, date of reg and also for a small fee some history of the vehicle including last change of keeper and whether its been recorded stolen or written off.
Ive got this ap on my iphone and i find it handy to use before travelling to look at cars, as if it flags up as being a write off then i may steer clear and save myself the extra cost of the hpi checkBe Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -

Thank you for posting this info but, having put in the registration number on this website, no 'free' info comes up. Just offers me the three payable options. Where can I find the free basic check please?0
