Affect their Online Saver tariffs?
According to the rep I spoke to, it will ONLY affect the standard services.
Anyone confirm?

All I know is the Online Saver 7 is guaranteed to be 2% lower than the Standard until December so if Standard does rise, so could Online Saver 7!!I work for first direct and have previously worked for Santander.
Any information I give should not been seen as being given from first direct or Santander however I do have certain knowledge from working there.
Thank you, Chrissy :wave:0 -

Apparently no online tariffs will be affected by the rise.
Wish we had an EDF consultant on board.0 -
I imagine it will be all of them apart from the fixed ones x0
-
Scenario A, online tariff stays the same
Scenario B, it rises.
Scenario C, it falls.
I am interested in what you would do in each scenario.0 -
Its going to stay the same...
They twist their words to convince you
Online Saver 7 is guaranteed to be 2% lower than the standard tariff.
Thats the deal the online tariff remains 2% cheaper than the standard tariff until December....
So yes the rep was correct the price rise wont affect the online saver 7 tariff.
You will still get it @ 2% cheaper than standard tariff.did I repeat myself a lot there

I understand that but if the standard tariff goes up, that means the Online Saver 7 can go up, cuz it only has to be 2% lower than standard. Thats how i've understood it anyway!I work for first direct and have previously worked for Santander.

In our eyes online 7 will be going up...
In EDF's eyes it is staying at 2% lower than the standard rate...
And so no change
Lies, damned lies, and statistics
We all know there is going to be a standard rate price rise in March, its just a case of when in March.0 -
The price per unit will likely go up... therefore it's going up... even if it is still lower than the Standard by 2%...I work for first direct and have previously worked for Santander.

Has anyone noticed the whole "Winter Price Freeze guarantee" ads all over EDF's website have now disappeared?0
-
Any one starting a switching to EDF now will enjoy less than a month of frozen price, and then be hit with a price increase.
Any such advert now would be drawing attention to the price rise, surely?0
