Network Card going?

Just looking for a spot of advice - I think it could be my network card but looking for any other ideas or fixes...
Laptop is over 3 years old and generally very bad condition - so many things wrong with it. It has a wireless network card - lately my internet just keeps going off, it will loose the network completely and then cannot reconnect unless I shut the computer down and start again - Doesn't appear to be a problem with the actual internet or network as other computers are running the wireless with no problems.
This morning had right grief trying to get laptop to work, would boot up and connect and then loose it a few minutes later, turning the wifi off and on didn't help, nor did turning off the router - only shutting computer down did but then it repeated, connected then keeps disconnecting again.....
Does this sound like its a network card fault? - It wouldn't suprise me if it is, yet another fault to add to the list :undecided

There are a couple of things worth checking first. You might have some problems with the driver for the network card. Might be worth updating or reinstalling the driver.
The other possibility is something has gone wrong with Windows. You can reset the TCP/IP stack which can occasionally fix weird problems like this:
