How can I sell baby clothes?

Morning All,
Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience of selling used baby clothes. I have LOADS in my loft, nice bits and well looked after.
Is ebay best? or car boot. Should I bundle them or do single items?
Its a huge task but one I really should tackle!!
Thanks

we buy lots off ebay. we'd buy small bundles (usually jeans as our little one just crawls the knees out of them) but would probably never buy a random bundle. Nicer items sell as individuals. wont get a lot for em but id have thought more than a car boot.0

I always sold my little ones clothes in bundles on ebay - I bundle matching outfits and brands so I would put a few next outfits together or a few mothercare outfits together - it would be so time consuming to list individually and I would think people buying on ebay would be bundles more than individual items - easier to package up too if you're selling bundles together. At least you can do from the comfort of your own home too instead of freezing at a car boot. I only ever sold items that still had labels on individually and designer items.0

Probably better with e-bay, as a bundle (unless you have anything which maybe would sell better alone, designer etc), state any brand names as this catches peoples eyes. I've bought loads of bundles for DD before off e-bay.

I did a ton of research on this before parting with clothes! Anything that has a label on still or which has not been used, try ebay. Anything from Next and upwards (Gap, Marks and Spencers, Boden, designer names, Oilily, Diesel, Timberland, etc. etc.) should go on ebay - sometimes works best as indivdiual items, others as groups. Have a good look before making a decision but it is very hit and miss. A few weeks ago I got £10 for a small Gap bundle and 99p for a similar bundle this week! Anything supermarket bought which has been used won't go on ebay (although no harm in putting some in as part of a bundle) so take it to a car boot.
The trouble with the cheaper stuff is you can get, for example, 7 vests for £7 (or less) at the supermarkets so why would you pay 99p plus £2 postage secondhand for something you haven'[t seen and can't be sure what state it's really in? I would, however, buy anything clean and decent at a car boot for 20p a vest so you'd be better off in that sense.0 -
Yep, ebay. Really good quality single items listed separately and bundles of like things together. Don't expect to earn a fortune as they don't always go for that much once you've factored in the time and effort to photograph and list them, package them up and go to the post office. And you still get morons complaining or raising disputes about trivialities, or even non-existent issues.0

I agree with those saying Ebay for better quality things (Next, Gap, Mothercare, M&S etc) I like seeing little bundles (4 / 5 items) but not too big as otherwise the postage gets too high! I wouldn't really buy anything from asda/Tesco on Ebay unless it still had the tags on it as it is cheap enough to go out and buy brand new from those places.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

Much as ebay can be a pain, with pictures and posting stuff etc, once you get started, it's quite addictive. Just get yourself prepared first, set aside a day to sort out all of the clothes and take loads of pics and get yourself a load of brown paper, large envelopes and sellotape!
Personally, I wouldn't even bother with a boot fair. People just pick over the stuff, chuck it about and then try to beat you down and you'll end up selling everything for 20p just to get rid of it, and them. Or else they'll steal it. Boot fairs are fine for bulky goods and bits of tat, but selling clothes is a nightmare especially if you have lots of nice stuff."I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
I sold some on ebay (bundles and seperates) and some on netmums (bundles) as someone said do small bundles on ebay but on netmums people will come collect so you can do a binbag also theres less hassle for posting etc.
Oh and you can seperate - unisex (whites and yellows etc) from the gender defined (blues and pinks) too so it will appeal to a greater range.I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Thanks everyone.
Think I need to put in a few hours making up some attractive bundles and then get ebaying!!!0 -
If you are FB there are absolutely loads of people selling baby clothes, some are private just selling there own baby clothes and other are selling as business where they get there bits from others or wherever and then re-sell on, if you are interested in going this way just look for local selling groups, then you can see who others are "freinds" with and see what other groups they are in.
