Can I put my Tesco CC into credit?

I'm not sure if you are asking a genuine question or if you are just being pedantic?
To clarify....nil balance on both cards. 0% BT offer from Barclaycard if I transfer a balance to them. Since I have no balance to transfer, I want to put my Tesco card into credit to take advantage of the offer.
Elky, I may well give it a go, I'm struggling to find another way of trying, at such short notice.
No, I honestly didn't understand it as the whole post seemed to be talking about money TO your tesco account, when in actual fact you are taking FROM tesco?
Now you clarified I got it!
Sometimes there can be genuine confusion without being pedantic (sometimes... LOL)

Just remembered OH has Egg Money card, unused for ages. Can you still put that into credit and then withdraw to your current account with no fee?
That would without a doubt be the better idea.
You can still transfer the credit balance on an Egg card into a current account via their online banking.
And Barclaycard don't care who's name the card is in when doing a balance transfer - as long as you don't openly volunteer the information it'll be fineCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Actually the worst that can happen if you put your credit card into credit is that you'll lose access to the funds until they have investigated you suspected for money laundering... :-00

Does barclyvard not also offer you 0% on purchases?
Could you not just shop on that rather than your tesco card?
If you only ever shop in tesco you could just use the barclycard to buy a load of tesco gift vouchers. They sell them at the till or online.
Also, I put a Lloyds mastercard £14k in credit to buy a car from abroad.
Simply drew the cash out over the counter, handed it back with the c/card and she swiped and paid it.
Never had a problem. I had previously spoke to them on the phone but they just said 'thats fine'0 -
Quick update: Transferred £2K from Barclaycard to Tesco. Started spending on Tesco account, balance was around £1K when transfer hit and was accepted, so account was in credit by £1K with no problems. Not quite as much as originally thought but alternative Egg account was used for the bulk of what I wanted to transfer, so didn't really matter.
Thanks for help.Herman - MP for all!0 -
You will not be covered for any fraudulent spend if you lose the card or its stolen - well certianly the credit balance would not be covered0
