I have a new phone - Android 2.1. No software was provided with it.
Connected it with a USB cable to my PC (Windows XP) and got the message as in the title to this thread.
Other devices do successfully connect via USB .
I would be most grateful if anyone could tell me what I have to do to resolve this matter.
