hello all,
first off i had no problems with my usb devices in the past everything was working fine and the world was great.. until this morning when i woke up to put some songs on my psp, in my computer the psp drive no longer shows up, neither does my card reader or my external hard drive.. what could possibly be the problem?
in device manager the drives show up and are enabled, but i cant access them at all
any help at all would be fantastic.
thank you!

I had a problem like this, and the only solution I found was to perform a system restore (GoBack actually, as I'm still on 98SE) to a point before the USB ports disappeared.Charlie0

Check device manager, they may have been uninstalled.
Also is there an occasion where they stopped working, i.e. installing a certain programme etc.?0 -
This was discussed last week. Turn off your machine and disconnect the power. After a short period, plug back in and restart.
This apparently works for most people but to date I cannot make it work on my office computer.0
