It is reasonable though I should knock off the brake fluid as it has nothing to do with the cambelt; waste of time changing it imho0

I'd haggle. I work at a VW Dealership and we offer cambelts for £299, all genuine parts inluded (barring the expensive V6's!), but you should be able to get a better deal than than, even if it is dealer prices.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. where is the quote from ? dealer/ independant/ mobile mechanic ?

does not sound too bad to me , but make sure that is for a timing belt kit (includes belt tensioner and idler) and the accessory belt kit , (belt and tensioner) this is important to change as well .0
