Hotmail problems

Is anyone else having trouble with Hotmail today? I don't seem to be getting messages. I'm waiting on a couple of important emails but have had nothing since about 3pm today. Test emails I've sent to myself from my work and my yahoo accounts have not arrived either. (And no, they're not in my junk folder.)
I'm wondering if it's a widespread problem, or just me.

This gets odder. Got my OH to log in to their hotmail on my laptop and their account is working perfectly and got a test email I sent from my yahoo account within a few seconds.
So why aren't messages getting through to my hotmail account?
Any ideas gratefully received.

I only use the windows live version of hotmail and I am not getting any messages there

I have a bt internet a/c which send mail on to my hotmail folder on windows live and I am getting those ones

Not sure if you will see this message as I'm not getting my emails from MSE as they are set to go to my hotmail a/c

I have just checked http://downrightnow.com/hotmail - seems there is/has been a problem

It seems something is going wrong with hotmail at the moment. I found this thread full of people with a similar problem on a Hotmail forum.

My plan is to go to bed and see if anything has turned up in the morning. I may also trying hitting the top of my computer and swearing at it.

I was just looking at that other forum too - it is just so frustrating when you know you have emails somewhere out there in the ether, let's just hope there is a resolution in the morning!

Some, but not all, of the expected emails turned up overnight. Some appear to have taken more than twelve hours to arrive.
Sent another test email from my yahoo account to see if things are working now. It hasn't arrived.:(
I hate Hotmail!

EDIT: At least now Hotmail are acknowledging the problem. They've posted this message on the Windows Live Solution Centre page. "Windows Live Hotmail is currently experiencing issues with inbound mail delivery. You may see a delay in receiving email into your inbox."

Yes. My mail started to arrive at 7 this morning and the first was one sent to me at 6 last night.

I have just sent a test email from my btinternet a/c and it arrived immediately into my hotmail a/c

Lets hope this is the end of the problem
