Returning online purchase - who pays postage?

All saints use a large box to send a piece of light weight clothes, which doesn't even take up the entire space of of the box. It will cost a lot just to send this box back, and I don't see how not returning the packaging box (act like a carrier bag if you buy from their store) can affect the resell of the clothes. I think it's just their way to stop people from returning. Has anyone returned to all saints without using their box?
In which case, I apologise. I assumed you was referring to the box the item came in (ie the product packaging).
In this case, I would rip the arms of the box to wedge the clothes and therefore prevent them getting too crumpled in transit and wrap in brown paper.
Then use the box for storage or something
That way second class packet post will cost a couple of quid.0 -
Here's another delivery question.
I bought something for about £200 and I ordered the wrong thing. All over the site it says that the price includes next day delivery (there are no other delivery options when purchasing).
Now looking at the returns information, it says they'll refund the money minus the cost of sending the item to me. Can they do that? Surely the advertised price of the item was £200, so surely they need to refund me £200.
Or they could say it cost them £50 P&P and refund me only £150...?

That assumes you cancel the order within 7 working days of delivery.

3.48 The DSRs require you to refund any money paid by or on behalf of the consumer in relation to the contract to the person who made the payment. This means the full price of the goods, or deposit or prepayment made, including the cost of delivery. The essence of distance selling is that consumers buy from home and receive goods at home. In these circumstances, almost every case of home shopping will involve delivery of the goods ordered and so delivery forms an essential part of the contract0 -
Not sure, but is "expedited" delivery classed as extra, so they only need to refund standard delivery charges?
(If the expedited method of delivery was the only one offered then this would class as standard delivery IMHO, and so would need to be refunded).0 -

I read something along those lines was being introduced amongst many other changes in 2013, but not sure if it was removed or something as i've not been able to find it since.

No (but do correct me if I am wrong). It is the cost of delivery, expedited or not. From what I remember, the Regs makes not mention of expedited costs, nor did the guidanceHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. They don't, but I believe there was proposals for just this for the 2013 changes which don't seem to be coming in now. IMO this would be a much fairer way of managing delivery, I don't think it's fair that at the moment you can choose to upgrade to a £10 24hr service for example instead of the usual £5.99 and get a full refund on postage when you change your mind.0
