going to vegas and i need a cc

hi all. im going to vegas on april 19 till may 3 and i was told its a good idea to take a cc so i can use it in the toel etc. can anyone recomend one? also because im not going to be back in the UK by the first will i need to pay the credit card bill before the end of the month as i dont want to get charged when im away?

Hi,
Some cards are better than others for spending abroad. Nationwide used to be good but they've introduced charges now.
I think Santander does a card with no fees for foreign purchases.
One important thing to do is to set up your card to pay your bill by Direct Debit - either the full amount or the minimum. That way you will not damage your credit rating if you forget to pay.0 -
Even if you start spending on the card on 19 April, you will be back in plenty of time to pay if off.
If you do not want to pay any interest you should sent up a direct debit to pay it in full every month. However be aware that you may have to pay the first month manually until the DD is set up.0
