Hi
I currently have a Platinum account with LLoyds TSB.
With this I get a 250 overdraft, mobile phone insurance, breakdown cover, travel insurance for myself and my daughter, and other bits and pieces - I pay 25 per month for the privilege!
Just wondered if there are other banks that offer similar but for less?, I would definately want the breakdown cover, overdraft, travel and phone insurance.
thanks

Are you sure that you have the Platinum account?
The charge for that is £17 pm - £25 is for the Premier account and you get a lot more 'extras' than you have stated - including an interest free overdraft of £500.0 -

Hi
JonesMUFC - sorry, you are right, it is the Premier I have, not the Platinum, however, I don't use any of the other facilities of the account and requested only 250 o/d.
Thanks guys - a few to look into and seems I will be able to save money each month if I move - will check out the conditions and see which would be best for me

Why dont you actually just downgrade to the Lloyds platinum account then?
£17 per month with AA, mobile insurance, travel insurance and the overdraft up to the limit you need interest free.
Saves you having to move banks?0 -

Or go with Coop Premier account and pay £13pm saving £44 per year!0 -
Depends what benefits you are looking for but the Halifax's Ultimate Reward account is worth considering.
Worldwide Travel Insurance
AA Roadside assistance (you can pay to upgrade to homestart)
Mobile Phone Insurance (Including I-phones)
Home Emergency Cover
Card Care Cover - usually around £40 for 3 years, covers your cards, passports, keys etc.
Free Overdraft (Max £300)
15% discount on home insurance & Reward packages for savings, mortgages and insurances.
There's probably other features too but they seem to be the main ones.
All for £12.50 a month, but pay in £1000 and you get £5 reward, so technically £7.50 a month.0 -
