    thanks Zagfles. That is really helpful. I also had a trading loss in one of those years and didn't know about that either. Will definitely take it up with them.

    We don't use the accountant anymore as she was charging £500 a year to do our tax return. Tax return seemed steeped in mystery but when our income dramatically dropped we decided to do it ourselves and discovered it wasn't half as difficult as we thought. Then wished we'd never paid out all that money to the accountant. Especially as we used to have to suggest things to her to put down, like part of electricity and gas bill and phone bill. I think she just couldn't be bothered with us as we were small fry but be honest and just say, look this is a piece of cake, just do it yourselves.

    Double grrrrr!
