Looking for some Advice/help really
We booked a sun holiday via the sun promo online booking.
today we got are holiday confirmation and they have charged us £20.00 for entertainment passes.
now when you look here on the sun park descriptions it says passes are free
http://www.ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk/cgi-bin/UKHS_park_0003.cgi?copy=1150&promo=SUNSPR11&sort=A&showall=Y
We called them upto query this and they say its NOT a mistake,we have to pay for the passes and the suns description is wrong, the passes are only free if you book direct with them via john fowler,we were told to call back 1hr later as we wanted to speak to the manager,no reply when we called back so we will be calling again tomorrow.
Anyone know where we stand?
The club room is not even on the site we are staying, its on there sister site which is this one
http://www.ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk/cgi-bin/UKHS_park_0003.cgi?copy=1024&promo=SUNSPR11&sort=A&showall=Y
I really dont think we should have to pay if its been advertised as FREE.
Sorry if ive posted this in the wrong place, still pretty new to MSE:D

We went here last year on a sunholiday, its a lovely park. We also queried this with them at the time and they told us passes were free, there isnt much on the site itself a small bar/club room and a shop, we didnt visit the sister site.
If you want any more info on the park ill try and help

It was our first visit to combe martin and we loved it, we stayed in a caravan and it was a bit on the small side but was clean and tidy, we had one of the caravans just past the chalets so quite close to the entrance and clubroom etc, but the caravans did seem to stretch back a far bit, there is also a country walk from the park which was nice.
No we didnt pay for the passes, the only thing I would say about it was the lack of staff there, the toaster in our caravan didn't work so we phoned down to reception no answer after about 5 attempts, so I walked down and there was no one there. Had to get the number from the sister site and someone from that site came within 10minutes and replaced the toaster.0 -
We've never paid (nor wanted) entertainment passes or linen on any of the Sun holidays we've been on. I fairly sure they are listed as 'optional' in the Suns T&Cs.
Whenever we've been billed for service charge plus extras, I've always rung up and only paid the service charge.
The Sun's FAQs say thisDo I have to pay the supplement charges?
The ‘Service’ charge (includes gas & electric) is compulsory. (At some parks on certain dates there is ‘no service’ charge).
Entertainment passes and bed linen are optional.
All information regarding supplement charges are detailed against each individual park in the newspaper.
All supplement charges must be paid directly to the park.
Please note that if supplement charges are not paid on time (the date specified on the confirmation from the park), the holiday will be cancelled by the park operator. There are no refunds in this instance.

AlsoWhat's the 'Entertainment Passes / Clubroom Passes' charge for?
Parks make optional charges for passes which may be required for access to facilities such as swimming pools, bars, restaurants, shows and kids clubs. Where applicable, this will be charged to you by your park when your booking is confirmed. See each park listing for specific charges.
https://www.ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk/faqs//9816. Parks offering full day and evening entertainment programmes may charge for optional Entertainment Plus Passes. Charges will range from £2 to £12 per person per break. Other parks may charge £2 to £12 per person per break for optional Clubroom Passes. Check your Park's description for specific charges.

And as you say the Parks own description says passes are free!0 -
Nope we've never had the passes or linen either, they didnt ask either when we arrived at the site so all should be fine, hope you and your family have a good holiday!!0

Have just managed to book a sun holiday here...so we will see if we get charged for holiday passes when the letter comes through, did you manage to sort it out?0
