i sold a phone on ebay in august and there was no porps and all went smooth receiving feed back that was good i assumed all was sweet , however yesterday i got an email form paypal saying my account was frozen due to a credit card chargeback comming from an unautherised transaction , the buyer now claimed to her credit card that she never bought the phone and is demanding her money back , i now have to prove to her card company through paypal that she got the phone , i dont know if this is an honest mistake or a new scham but beware

Did you post to a PayPal confirmed address and did you send by a trackable postage method?

If you get an email from paypal send it to spoof@paypal.com first and don't reply to it or any respond via any links in the email until you get an email back from Paypal to say it is genuine. I've had 29 similar emails in a couple of weeks and NONE of them have been genuine.
One day I might be more organised...........

You can track your transaction in Paypal back to the Ebay item to see if the email refers to the real item. Paypal also flags you when you enter your account if there is a genuine claim back. There have been scam emails of this style for at least a year now.
