Whoa! BG is my cheapest listed supplier!

Never thought I'd see this but...British Gas was the cheapest listed supplier for my supply - dual fuel.

I know they have a crap reputation, but we stand to save (as listed by the switch site) about £90 a year. The other nearest was £50.

So we're going to give them a try. Probably won't last long but hey...you've gotta try!
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

Some BGas tariffs are the cheapest in certain areas apparently - it seems to be that it's those people that have been on British Gas standard tariffs for years and never switched at all that are paying through the nose. I'd say give it a go and see what happens.

I've just found the same! I was shocked. They are only cheaper by £44 a year so I'm not sure if it's worth all the hassle, and the potential problems, though.

If you do change to BG you just need to keep a close check on your account, particularly in the initial stages. It seems to me that BG have difficulty in sorting out problems - so make sure they don't occur.
  • They're cheapest for me too - I checked and initiated the switch a few days ago.

I've never switched before but know lots of horror stories from working at ScottishPower a few years ago ... I'm trying to remember that no one was ever going to phone in and say 'I've just switched to company X and everything went really well' so all you ever hear are the horror stories.
