Can 18 yr old receive full-time wage while receiving EMA

My younger brother turns 18 later this year (9th June). At the moment my parents receive child benefit for him which I think ends when he turns 18 (is this correct?). He is also in receipt of EMA which according to the paperwork my mum's got seems to run until the end of the academic year (end of August).
My father wants him to get a job as soon as he turns 18 but we are unsure if he is allowed to earn a full-time wage while the EMA is still coming to him.
Should he start a full-time job straight after his birthday or does he have to wait until 1st Sept?

I think the EMA is only paid if you attend college, if he had a full time job surely he wouldn't be attending college.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Does your brother's course actually finish at the end of August? EMA is paid for course weeks only.0

He's in sixth form and sits his A-levels in June - finishes about a week after his birthday. There are no more classes for him to attend after this. The paperwork for the EMA application states Sept to August.0

Is he going on to university in September?0

His last ema will be paid in the week folloing his last attendance at college which will probably be June.0

So he won't get into trouble with the EMA people if he tells his prospective employer that he can start a full-time job with them at the beginning of July?0
