Excel times tables

is there a quick formula to put in Excel so it can do all the "times tables" without putting in one by one. So that way I can just drag it down and it does all the others without having to type each single one which will take forever. As I don't know the formula for this. My help is not working on excel.

=1*3
=2*3
=3*3
=4*3

and so on as with all the other "times tables" as well.

Then after that the next lot

    Just enter the first two values, select them both, and drag down the little handle at the bottom right corner.

    For example, put 3 in A1, 6 in A2, select both cells and drag down as far as you want.

    When I was at school the times tables wer printed on the back of the excersise books.

    I like the grid.

    In row 1 starting at column B enter the numbers 1 to 12 going across.
    In Column A starting at row 2 enter the numbers 1 to 12 going down.
    In cell B2 enter the formula =B1*A2 and drag across and down.

    I think that would need to be:

    =B$1*$A2

    Paste this into A1:

    =ROW()*COLUMN()

    And then copy & paste as far as you like.
