Amazon christmas starts early with them slow deliveries

I remember last year there delivery was slow although I am sure it was a little later.

I ordered a item I believed in stock on 25th October and selected the free postage. The item hasn't even been dispatched yet that's 15 days later. So word of warning get shopping early so as not to be disappointed.

Was the item you bought in stock and available for immediate delivery? Often it says near the top when they are expecting a delivery of the itemto their warehouses. Was it actually sold by Amazon - they seem to act as an umbrella and sell stock direct from other websites now. This may be the reason for the delay?

I used the super save (free) delivery on the 7th Nov, it was despatched on the 8th. It does say e.t.a. is 13th Nov though so I think they may be sending it by horse and cart!

Delivery estimate: 7 Nov 2006 - 16 Nov 2006

I no its within time but I nearly always get stuff before and I assume its to cover themselves.

My post isn't really a vent on the delivery as I am not anxious for it mealy as a warning to others particularly as Christmas is just around the corner.
