Hi I have a Dell Inspiron 1501, and trying to use a Digimate Monitor. Got it connected with the usual cable, powered up, and it works, but sometimes it doesn't the screen flashes on and then off again. I used the Fn F8 to switch between the screens, and sometimes it works, and sometimes just flashes on and off. So I just carry on with the lappy screen, then suddenly the monitor will come on. This is a different cable and waggling the cable does not do anything. I have the laptop set so that the screen is not affected by closing it.

While typing this I have just done the Fn F8 again, and lo and behold it has worked again and will carry on fine now, but some days it will not do it at all.

Any ideas, thoughts inspirations??
Thanks DG
