Buyer in Bulgaria wants to arrange courier collection
Comments

Okay thanks for the advice, I'll try thatI'd still get a quote from a courier, then send them the revised invoice (including cost of courier and packaging it up), stating that as per paypal rules, YOU need to organise the courier, therefore can they now pay the revised invoice including courier.
It will always be impossible to please everybody all of the time but so long as someone is happy with me somewhere at some point, my job here is done!0 -
I'll do that too, thank youI would also alter your preferences to which Countries you sell to.
ie block overseas bidders.
Hope it all works out ok

It''s a scam. The buyer will either overpay you and ask you to pay the "courier" in cash or they will claim non delivery and a refund. Save yourself the hassle and cancel the sale.(".)0

You cannot cancel the sale unless the buyer agrees so you could possibly end up with having to pay the FVFs on this and get poor feedback.
As you agreed to let buyer bid this is a tricky one, it might be worth sending an invoice with your courier charge clearly stated and hope they don't pay and then you can do a full NPB.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've now messaged them and said that I am not prepared to wrap and post it to Bulgaria......however I also sent an invoice with £100 as the postage costs in the hope that they won't pay and I can do a NPBYou cannot cancel the sale unless the buyer agrees so you could possibly end up with having to pay the FVFs on this and get poor feedback.

Why oh why has selling on eBay become so darn difficult with these godamed scammers :mad:It will always be impossible to please everybody all of the time but so long as someone is happy with me somewhere at some point, my job here is done!0 -

It isn't difficult if you stick to your guns and have your preferences set up correctly.
You could have blocked overseas bidders and could have declined this persons request to bid.
Anyway, hopefully he will not pay so you can start an NPB on day 4 and reclaim your fees. Then when you do relist set your preferences as tight as possible, exclude overseas bidders and do not be tempted to allow one to bid even if they contact you first.
Obviously a collection only item is not ideal as it leaves you open to the paypal on collection scam and as has been said earlier baby things are very very highly scammed. I would advise that you either list as a courier delivery within the UK or try a different venue where you can accept cash, like an NCT nearly new sale.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Sadly my recent experiences have shown otherwise and whilst I accept some responsibility for not setting my preferences correctly, I still find it disheartening to be on the end of yet another dishonest bidder. It isn't difficult if you stick to your guns and have your preferences set up correctly.
I will do this from now onwards:oYou could have blocked overseas bidders and could have declined this persons request to bid.

I presume this is where you have no proof of posting/delivery and the buyer claims the item was not delivered. That's why people say "cash on collection" - you can't reverse a cash payment.0 -
Ahh yes I get it, that makes sense. Thank youpinkclouds wrote: »I presume this is where you have no proof of posting/delivery and the buyer claims the item was not delivered. That's why people say "cash on collection" - you can't reverse a cash payment.
