is there any help?

after a period of unemployment, my hubby has found a job!!, problem is, as of this monday just gone, we have obviously lost JSA.
However, the job pays a month in leu, so we will see no money till 4th March.
Is there anything we can apply for, to keep us going till then? we have large petrol costs now, and food bills for lunch etc, but with less coming in then when he we unemployed.
Is there any help out there?

It does need to be paid back and depends on savings, if you work etc as to how much you would be entitled to. Take a look at the old style money saving, they have loads of tips to make a little go a long way. If you post everything you have in your cupboards and freezer they can show you what meals you could make to use up everything so you don't have a large shopping bill. Just a couple of ideas.

He should have qualified for what they call - run. inwhich they continue to pay him until he gets paid. If not go and see your local job centre, they do have a discretionary fund available. They will give you so much toward living expenses, however you must provide receipts for all the money each week, so if they give you £200 you must provide receipts for £200, this cannot include pet food, strangely the cat gets to starve. Mine lived on tuna for a month or i traded stuff with my sister. If you dont spend it all you have to give back the change - so spend it all if only on tinned goods.
