memory cards - does size really matter?!
Comments

Alot of cameras recommend a minimum transfer speed of 10mb per second.
f1charlie - where are those prices from?0 -
I've never heard of there being a maximum size for a memory card.
What i;ve heard of though, is that some memory cards have different speeds. Basically, if a newer card supports higher speed transfer, it won't be able to transfer at the higher speed if your equipment doesn't support it.
It should still work though.0 -

https://www.w2w.com where the prices include P+P, but if you want to buy more than one, go to https://www.memorymegastore.com - same company, lower prices but charge a flat rate postage for up to 6 cards.
The 4Gb price was from a quick google (may not have included postage), £70 on w2w but with a card reader included.Charlie0 -

It may not happen so much with newer cameras as they probably design greater capacity into them. But with older cameras, at the time of design, they probably didn't think there would be such large memory cards (at affordable prices anyway).qwertyford wrote:What i;ve heard of though, is that some memory cards have different speeds.
