For some reason they have given me and my friend 2 x £50.
Do I do the honest thing and tell them straight away or stick in savings and earn a few pence interest until they notice.
Or can you claim it as an unsolicited gift!!!

Hi jimmyjim_uk,
I refer a lot of people and this has happened to me with a couple of the referrals - I'm afraid in those cases they noticed it within a couple of days and just took it right back out the account so I wouldn't be planning what to do with it just yet!!! In the previous cases it seems that it was a clerical error and everyone from that batch got paid out twice and they took them all back. You never know though....
Regards

I came clean and phoned them about the £50.
And their response was to transfer me to another department and cut me off. Can't even give the bank their own money bank.
I am starting to suspect that the A&L CS is not the best around.0 -
Hi Jimmy,
Yeah the Customer Service occassionally does leave a little to be desired - to be honest you've done your best and if they don't figure it out for themselves and take it back then they've only themselves to blame so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you

How long do you have to wait for them cash in the £50? I send in one a month a go, and so far still nothing.0 -
Hi lkoky,
The rules are that they should pay out within 8 weeks of both parties starting to fund their account as per the terms and conditions (ie paying in £500 per month each.) Usually they pay out quicker than this if both parties have stuck to the rules but there is no hard and fast timescale for it and I think it is quite random as I have referred people who have waited nearly the full 8 weeks despite funding the account early and others who have been paid out within a week or two of funding it. You will need to work out when the 8 weeks from both accounts being funded from starts and then wait for the 8 weeks as they won't investigate a referral until the 8 weeks is up. If you still haven't been paid by that point you can raise a query with them. Hope it turns up soon!
Regards
