Just thought I should sing the praises of Westin Gourmet. And - no, I don't work for them, but I was terribly impressed by their service this week.
I ordered some chicken, ham and chorizo and a ridiculously big gammon joint to cut up. When I checked out, there was also an offer of 1lb of John Ross smoked salmon for £8.50 which is very reasonable.
So what was it that impressed me - firstly they had a stock shortage, so instead of leaving me in the dark, they rang up very apologetically to explain and reschedule for a couple of days later. Second was when I got the gammon joint out, I found it was on the bone - and assumed that I was paying for the bone - like I might do at Tescos. Then I double checked and although I'd paid for 8.5kg of meat, the joint weighed 9.5kg, allowing for a good chunk of the bone. As ever, it's the little things that win you over, and not being ripped off.
Oh - and the meat is excellent so far :-)

You just email them :-) Had similar questions on their Australian steak and got a very detailed answer.0 -

I can eat an 8oz burger, never make them any smaller than that when I do them for a bbq.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. They state on the website, "Raised in the beautiful countryside of Belgium on farms where welfare is paramount; these free to roam, traditionally fed chickens are truly memorable for their award winning taste and generous portions."0 -

This is my experience of Westin Gourmet Foods
My package arrived the Chicken Breasts and Steak had burst leaving Chicken Breast Juice over the rest of goods, it didn't smell good, I wanted them to collect it from me and refund my purchase. Customer service offered a refund/replacement of just the chicken breasts and as the rest of the items where sealed They told me that was acceptable ! I couldn't safely put them in my fridge as they where contaminated. I had to take time out of work to sort this mess out. I am sorry but that is unacceptable. You only find out how bad or good a company is when something goes wrong. I for sure have found our how poor Westin Gourmet is.0 -
I was not impressed with their customer service either. Sure they are polite but are not good at solving customer issues. In my experience they are only good at paying lip service. Some of their steaks were better than those available at supermarkets. Their mince was awful. Their chicken was OK. Overall over-priced and don't help customers when there is a problem. I have had much better service and quality from other online sellers that provide similar meats.0
