Anyone else touched by polar bear on Planet Earth? Adopt a polar bear....

Options
I spotted this today. Thought I'd post here as I was really moved by the polar bear's plight shown on Planet Earth. An unusual Christmas gift perhaps?

I loved that program the best documentary I have ever seen and seen many over the years. Brilliant work by the BBC

David Attenborough's natural history programmes have always been fantastic, but cutting edge technology with amazing cameras now give them an even bigger edge.

I was truly mesmerised by the shot of the polar bear swimming amongst the ice.

He gets my vote as one of the greatest Great Britons! (David Attenborough not the polar bear :D)

I keep hearing about this polar bear... was it alright in the end? Wish I'd watched now.

Btw WHSmith have these on 3 for 2 at the mo instore, don't know about online but might be worth checking out. They also have a monkey and a lion called Aslan to adopt.

No, he wasn't strong enough to catch a walrus to eat after his long swim and he ended up injured and died of hunger. I'm sure it must be repeated at some point this week? well worth looking out for.

Great idea OP, my Dp would really appreciate that as a gift.

  • I was watching it on Sunday and it amazes me that stuff like 'March of the Penguins' wins an Oscar for best documentary when the BBC has been producing far superior material on TV for years!
