Hi All,
cancelled my second box yesterday ( previously had sky + downstairs and then an ordinary sky box in bedroom) as it was a waste of a tenner a moonth.
Previous to me having "multi room" i made do with a sky box downstairs and a magic eye in the bedroom.
I still have that magic eye but havent a clue how to wire it in so i can operate downstairs box from upstairs
Anyone know how to do this or any tips etc?

Have you got all the parts from when you dismantled it from your previous address?
Have you got a lead coming through from your downstairs TV?0 -
Connect the adapter female end to the "RF2" or "RF out 2" socket at the rear of your digibox with a short (1 metre) connecting cable. DO NOT connect a second TV to the adapter end marked "TV" at this stage. Turn the Digibox on and press the following button sequence quickly and without looking at the TV screen.

Now use the "down" arrow button to move the on-screen highlight bar down to RF POWER.
Use the "right" arrow button to change it to say "ON".
Use the "down" arrow button to move the highlight bar to "Save Settings".
Press Select.
The LED on the adapter should now light. If it does NOT light, check your connections and try again.0 -
Magic eyes are good but you have to cable from your downstairs box to upstairs and put the eye on the end of the UHF cable.
They are cheap about £20 or you can buy a pack with an extra controller (cos its a pain remembering to take the remote upstairs!)
We use a wireless system, its more expensive but works great, and you can add as many TVs as you want (We beam to our bedroom and our kitchen and garage office)
Its DIGISENDER which beams picture and remote signals from anything with a scart socket, form ARGOS for £69.00 (They do a gold version which is more expensive, that one lets you connect more than one thing eg. DVD & Sky etc.)

if you want to send to another TV you can add an extra receiver

Not the cheapest but works VERY well and you can add to it.Just owe Dad £2500 for a new car

You have to note though that magic eyes still need to be powered through the aerial wire its connected to. Some circuits are powered and some aren't. Basically in a mates flat, the two master bedrooms could use the eye, but the third little guest room, which had a aerial socket, couldn;t power the magic eye and couldn't work.
Other than that, just follow the instructions posted above and it should work. Theres loads on the internet about this too, so just google it.0
