tax credits and not being able to return to work?

hi , im on maternity allowance at the moment and due to return to work soon im self employed and work pt normally but im not going to be able to return for another 6 months due to child care i have 2 kids eldest is 2 and currently get ctc and wk tc as hubby works ft will this mean my tc will stop when mat allowance finishes? and would i be able to claim anything for the remaining 6 months any advice would be great thanks

As your partner works full time you would still be entitled to ctc and wtc but not the childcare element if you are taking longer than 9 months maternity. You will need to ring tax credits with your change of circumstances as you yourself will no longer be classed as working and subsequent income will have reduced.Daughters Sealed Saving Pot - start them young :money: £90 :T0
