'Calendar month' for Halifax Reward Current Account

Hello
Can someone please clarify what dates are the calendar month for the Halifax Reward Current Account.
I remember on another of my posts, someone said it was from the 1st to 31st. However, I've just opened my account on the 22nd so does that mean I've only got this week to deposit my £1k?
Thanks.

Yes, I opened my account near the end of the month the same as yourself. I just missed that month and started paying in the £1000 from the next month. There aren't any charges etc, I just missed out on a £5 thats all.0

if you want to get the first £5 on the 1st of the month, then yes you will need to pay £1k in this week, however it doesnt have to stay in the account.
Do not pay the £1k in though if the account is brand new as money sort of dissapears on their online banking system for the first couple days (search on here and will find some others like it) pay in for example £100 first (as need that to activate the debit card etc) and when you know you can withdraw that then pay the rest in.
If i was you i would consider forgoing the £5 for this month (which will be paid on/around 1st working day of next month) as it is too soon if you need to access the £1k straight away.
Also would get online banking set up if i was you, especially if you are going to be transferring money in and out to get the £5 a monthMFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I had to wait for my salary otherwise I would've opened it earlier. Didn't realise that the dates weren't based on the account opening date

Hello, thanks for your reply. Yes, I put in £100 via my branch and set up the online banking. I panicked this afternoon because they suspended access when I tried to withdraw. But everything seems ok now. I think I can manage the £1k this week as long as it's ok to withdraw.0 -

If the £100 has done it's disappearing / reappearing act then it should be OK now.
It doesn't seem to be consistent, but I would avoid putting your £1k in on the last day of the month where that is also part of a weekend. As some appear to have had that treated as the following month.
But if you get it in (and out .. if that's what you're doing) before Sat then it should credit your £5 early in Feb. Again - a bit inconsistent - it may be a few days into Feb with it being a new account. Thereafter it will be calculated overnight on the 1st working day of the month. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
