Whywon't they play in my car

Just bought a cdrw and 'burnt' some discs today. they are high speed cdrw but won't play in the car. I have redcorded them at several speeds. they will play on the stereo downstairs. have i bought the wrong cdrw's? if so what should i have bought?

Try burning one on CD-R (Write Once) as opposed to CD-RW (Rewritable)

CD-RW's are less reflective than CD-R's IIRC and this means that lots of CD Players can't read them.

Yep, similar experience with old(ish) CD player..yet with new one...OK. Stick to CD R's, they are cheap enough anyway!

    [move]THANKS!!![/move]

Just bought some CDR's and they work perfectly on the car stereo and my old stereo (12 years old) upstairs. What would I do without MSE.com?

Only problem now is what am I going to do with 15 CDRW's?

Erase them. They are ok for backing up stuff.
