I agree the 3 items for £10 is not very good at all at the mo. The salmon steaks are tiny and £3.33 for 2 chicken breasts isnt a bargain IMO. I bought chicken thighs at full price instead.

I now go to waitrose for the odd nice thing, I agree Marks food is no longer anything special.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

I bought a sweet and sour chicken meal just before Xmas and when I took the card board sleeve off, the sellophane had been nibbled at by a mouse or rat and the chicken had bites out of it. Needless to say I have'nt bought anything since.

I used the vouchers too, I thought the quality and for what you get was pretty good. I only buy meat there, no its not cheap but sainsburys isnt much cheaper and asda meat is definately no. The butchers around here are not the greatest.
I did just buy mainly meat ( 3 for 10) half price cheese,

i agree the fish was small bu its sustainably sourced, fish seems a lot more in waitrose.

all supermarkets are cutting quality but i find M&S has cut the least.saying that i dont buy ready meals apart from the desserts which have def gone up and i have stopped buying them now.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

  • I had found "the cook menu" has gone down in quality. I used to buy their olives but found the past few times they were off even though they were within their sell by date

I got a meal for 2 for a tenner the other day, a decent sized chicken ( price label was over £6) a bottle of wine some parmentier (sp) potatoes and a couple of very tasty Creme Brulee in reusable ramekins I though that was good value to be honest..the chicken did us for dinner and sandwiches for lunch next day and the wine is on ice for later, I try not to drink on a work night...except Sunday!
