  • Bit late I know but have you cut the cards up so you can't use them any more?

Also, chuck out any catalogues in the house so you can't order from them.
Be happy, it's the greatest wealth :)

I still dont see your wifes income on that. Yet you have £800 going out for your mortgage. You also say your wife hasnt had a payrise so I presume she is working. Without seeing the whole picture it is difficult to comment because if you split the bills it certainly doesnt look equal.

From this SOA I would recomment a DMP.

I have done what I pay each month (Half the Bills/mortgage/life-house-contents insurance) as my wife also has depts of her own. Tried to put here down on this & said we had £250 p/m left over which is not true as I didn’t put her depts. down.

    Hung up my suit!
This feels like a joke post to me.

"how these credit card companies through money & encouraged me to spend by upping the credit limits"

I assume you mean "throw". The credit card companies don't encourage you to spend money. You MUST realise you can't afford to spend?

You menton your wife has her own debts? Well how much is that?

If it is a serious post then you need professional advice as soon as possible.
Money won't buy you happiness....but I have never been in a situation where more money made things worse!

    honestly, are you two serious?

londonpride, you obviously know what they mean by 'dept', have you not thought that they may have spelling trouble?

Marinelife, again, you think this is a joke post just because they have used a wrong word.

this is someone who is clearly having issues with their debt and are seeking help, yet you are putting them down for a few mistakes in their post.

if you dont have anything productive or informative to say, dont post.

to the OP, it may be worth speaking to CCCS, and arrange an appointment on the phone to discuss your options.
    good luck

Maybe you need to think what you type, I’m looking for advice & support or you could be the joke posting something like that on here.
No Joke & thanks for that ! (NOT), when me & the wife have no money at all & the last result is Having to use the credit card to live on what do you think, we have a £145k mortgage & also have living cost, sometimes me & my wife don’t even take home enough to cover these cost, we have no money so credit is the last resort, No pay rise for me & my wife in 2 years & everything going up, again NO JOKE.

My spelling may not be as good as others, I not looking for an English lessons but some honest advice as someone else on here thinks my post is a Joke, please keep none related post to yourself if you think this funny or a Joke.
To all the Others who have given advice, Thanks & more wanted.
  • I’m seriously thinking of not posting on here again as my wife has just seen the 2 post’s on here thinking this is a Joke & the Spelling error post, It has really upset her & just told me “everyone knows of all are problems, we want advice but some people think Its are fault”, she then burst into tears. It took us a while to admit we had a problem, we now both feel embarrassed.

Thanks to the Honest replies we’ve had.

  • Keep going mate, just block the idiots that upset you, I can understand sometimes that people don't like hearing the truth regarding spending etc but not fair to criticize spelling. Well done for being brave enough to tackle your problems, nobody knows who you are, billions of people use the internet.

Re-do your SOA including your wifes info so that we get a better picture of what we could do to advise.
  • tottonian,
please dont stop posting on here, there are lots and lots of honest and good people on this forum.

you occasionally get the 'look at me, im perfect' poster who posts just to get a response and to annoy people.
dont let them get to you.

certainly do not feel embarrassed about your debts or posting on here, people are all here for the same reason.
people still stay on here even after they have paid their debts off to give help and support to others.

i will keep following this thread.
