:rotfl:thank you for the chuckle and also reassuring me that I'm not the only one who leaves out a key ingredient/stage when cooking.

Latest was filling up breadmaker to make dough, forgetting to check that the paddle was in the pan!

Would you be able to give me the link for the tuna fishcakes as they sound delish, and have been promising DH some for dinner for ages.
  • Top tip re tuna fishcakes:

Add some Thai or Chinese 5 spice to the potato/tuna mix.
Serve with stirfried veg (with added noodles for the carboholics).
  • Where can I find this recipe?
  • Thanks guys. I think i googled the recipe or got it from the Old Style Board Cooking Collection - which I have just recently disctovered.

    Boiled potatoe & mashed
Sauted red oniond and mushrooms - season
Mash up and ADD TUNA/SALMON or any fish - other wise they will be potato cakes!!
Shape into round cakes (i used a pasty cutter) and put in fridge to set for a while.
Dip in eggs, then breadcrumbs and fry off in olive oil.

We had them with mix steamed veg, salad and yorkshire puddings.

I ended up freeing mine and have cooked them today - they froze fine. Also put some dried chilli flakes in my breadcrumbs as hubby said they would be really bland otherwise! they were fine
  • Tuna or salmon fishcakes are very nice with some finely chopped olives or capers in the mixture.
