motorbike insurance for non UK residents

I am having difficulty in securing motorcycle insurance for my new Triumph. Sounds pretty easy but there are 2 issues
1. I have a EU license and
2. I spend 50% of my time living in the UK and 50% of my time living in Holland.
The bike will be registered and taxed to my UK address but i cant seem to find anyone who will insure me
anyone got any ideas?
