Built in ovens and fridges, next to each other?

I'm looking at new kitchens and a lot of the designs have an eye-level oven in one unit, directly next to a built in fridge freezer unit.
Are modern designs/appliances (all will be high quality German appliances) insulated enough for this to not make the fridge work overtime? Kitchen salesman have told me it's fine, but anyone have experience. It's the only way I can do the kitchen, if not I'll have a under worktop oven, which isn't ideal.
Other option would be to have the oven built in eye-level then my current free-standing f/f next door, with a small gap, but again I'm not au-fait with how much heat will radiate from the oven.

Thanks all, if we do do this, we'll try and separate with a 300 or 400mm cupboard as I don't like the idea of a fridge wasting energy whilst a cooker heats it up!0

I hate to disagree with the other posters. But in this day and age there are no issues putting them side by side at all. I have done numerous kitchens with this configuration and never had a problem. Not much heat is radiated form the side of the oven. And it won't make the F/F perform any less efficiently.0

We have them side by side and in normal use there is no problem whatsoever. The only thing to watch is if like us the oven is a fan oven and perhaps two persons in the kitchen at the same time, do not open the fridge door at the same time as the other opens the fan oven door as the bast of furnace air is deflected by the door and goes straight into the fridge. Not a disaster but to be avoided. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0
