Redundancy rules

Looking for help really - I am a part time worker for a large telecomms company....who today announced in the press that they were making 580 people redundant. I know my full time colleagues have had meetings all day advising and been given info. I found out listening to the news ...

Could anyome advise if I have to be told officially, is this by my line manager, will I get redundancy or holiday pay, I will have been there 3 years but this 3 year anniversary will happen in the 90 day period. Any advice would help.

You need consultation just like the rest, they probably should have told you and offfered to have you come in for the meetngs if you wanted.

In your favour is your consultation might not have started yet see what they say if you bring that up.


3 years service for redundancy,
notice 3 weeks or contractal if more,
Holidays acrue till termination date.

Who's the company if you don't mind me asking? I'm being made redundant from a large Telecoms company too.
