Furniture Painting (dipping)

Hi there
wondered if any of you guys could help me. I have a huge pine table and 6 chairs which no longer go with my decor. I don't want to get rid of it as it's really practical. I'd like to get it painted white and don't think I'll do a very good job. Does anyone know of any companies that do dipping but with paint? I've looked on Google but all I can find is furniture restorers and companies who dip and strip back to natural wood.
Thanks

Would you consider getting a professional painter in to do it for you then?A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Hi
This may help but have you thought of rubbing it down and staining it another colour that would go with the new decor?
There are many different coloured stains (not just your browns) you can get these days.
It will take quite a few hours of rubbing down but its a lot easier than you think.
If you are going to pay a professional to paint it then your cheaper option may be to renew the table and chairs.
Hope this helps

You could get it dipped to remove all the varnish and then spray paint it.0

Have a look in Yellow Pages or Yell.com for Stove Enamellers. I know this sounds like the wrong type of company but most of them will also spray air drying finishes as well. If it's a stained and waxed type finish you will need to get it taken off and sanded down then a decent primer and topcoat applied - a two pack is the best for furniture. If your furniture is already varnished a quick sanding and two coats of topcoat (again two pack if poss) will do the trick. Don't get a gloss finish it'll look terrible, ask for semi gloss or egggshell.
The only things which tend to be dipped are industrial parts and wheels.
Benje302 is right about the cost though, might be cheaper to buy new. However if you shop around you will find prices vary hugely.
Hope this helps. My friend drowned in a bowl of muesli.
He was pulled in by a strong currant.0
