Need to sell my car quickly - is Autotrader my best bet?

Have looked at webuyanycar and now I've finished laughing at the pittance they offered me I need to do something sensible!

You need to tell us more about the car, some cars are in demand some are not.

If it is a diesel supermini with low miles 5 Drs, A/C and PAS then it will be an easy sale. (Autotrader, Exchange & Mart etc)

If it is a 3 litre Auto Omega with high miles then it much less desirable. (Loot, Local Freeads, Gumtree or eBay)

I sold a car through Auto Trader last year, be prepared for time wasters trying to get a bargain, and be careful of people offering to bring the cash to the house (they never showed when i said "fine, but we'll go to the bank to pay it into my account before i hand anything over...") I advertised slightly higher than car value, so when i got bartered down on price, i got a fair price for the car.

I would go for auto trader if you have the patience. look at similar cars on auto trader to see what they are listed for, take plenty of photos, inside and out, and be very detailed in your description, list EVERYTHING the car has, no matter how insignificant it may appear to be.
