JSA stopping and reapplying

I have applied for JSA. After few weeks some employment agency gave me work to do for a week. It was over 16 hours, so I call jobcentreplus and said so. The man on the other end said that he will stop my claim and after that week I will need to phone a number and claim JSA again, if I want to or need to. So basically if any agency or smth will gave me temp job over 16 hours a week I need completely stop JSA claim and if I still need it after that work I need apply again from the beginning? He said something about my Housing benefit claim and Council tax benefit claim...I didn't actually catch it...those two will stop too?? Because I need last two more than JSA...

yes I would advise not working for agencies,i considered work that way but I asked dss , council and they said it can be done but a headache to work that way.
you have to make a new claim, but you wont loose the first 3 days money as ints a rapid reclaim within 12 weeks.
prob is the agency could offer you work again during your claim and again you would have to stop and start claim and receive any benefit for the inbetween days of unemployed.
as for ctax and housing tell them you have had an increase in money for that week, they reassese it, then tell them again, you have made a rapid reclaim, they reasses it again till you get told how much jsa you get.
temp jobs are ok if say your partner works fulltime and you cant claim income based jsa and your cont based jsa is used up.
ctax and housing the changes take place the following monday of the change, but jsa changes the first morning of on the dole, so if you finnished up on fri, put your claim in from sat morn, even backdate it as they aint open sunday but if you ended on sat eve, fone them monday and start claim from sunday, jsa is paid at a daily rate.

You need to let LA know. Any hb/ctb for the period when the JSA stopped will be calculated on your wages during this time. They'll send you out a change of circs form to complete and return with your income details.
