Mascara recommendations please...

Been using benefit Bad Gal plum and love it as a day time alternative to black. I have really long eyelashes but they are quite fine and plae so need a volumising rather than lenthening one. I have pale skin and green eys and fancy something different to the standand black or brown (hence the plum) - any suggestions??

TIA

  • Hiya,

I've recently been using Maybelline The Collossal Volum' Express mascara (yellow tube) and its really good, very thickening!! Just make sure you buy the normal one and not the waterproof as it's a b*gger to get off :rotfl:

I was previously on Bad Gal and found this much nicer :)

I have green eyes. I prefer to use coloured eyeliner, and leave mascara black.

My favourite mascara's are the Bodyshops, Divide and multiply, or Super Volume Mascara. The eye liner I like is Boots No7 Metallic Eye Pencil. I like the Green, and Blue, as I'm dark, but the purple should suit you too. :)

2True, 3 for £5 in Superdrug, choice of colours, doesn't flake or smudge. Fab stuff!!! I love the blue one.

  • I have so many mascara's I'm a bit of a compulsive mascara buyer. For a long time my favourite was YSL faux cils until I discovered Max Factor False lash effect (I am sure they do it in different colours but couldn't swear to it) it's half the price of the YSL one but with the same thickening and lengthening effect.

EDIT: Urban Decay also do coloured mascaras.. big fatty mascara... thats very good!
  • i have also used the false lash effect mascara and find it good!
  • Maybelline falsies mascara (pink tube) is really good.

I bought this and thought it was useless - needed 4 coats :( Am back to Dior Show - only need one coat so I actually think it works out cheaper :)

I have white, short, pathetic lashes :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Avon's Supershock mascara is second to none. It comes in different colors & I usually buy mine from ebay as it tends to be cheaper than buying from Avon direct.

Just to add, the Supershock gel eyeliner (pencil) is also brilliant. It glides on & stays on.
  • i love Estee Lauder's double wear. but have just started using the new no7 with the curvy brush and its not bad....
am also using the freebie ones from clinique (i blagged a few when the offer was on last time:o)

  • I have tried them all, and vote for Clinique High Gloss. Expensive, but lasts a long time, doesn't flake, doesn't smudge, you only need one coat
